The Weekly Thrill: A good book, goals, and science.

Hi there,

Apparently, Saturday is the new Friday.

So far today, I've woken up to a present (puke) left on my desk by Cat. Cleaned up the present, and treated the desk. Cat puke is quite acidic. The desk did not like it. I'm not liking Cat right now.

On the other hand, Jenny, my perfect Golden Retriever, is licking her paws and lying at my feet as I write this to you. Jenny is actually going blind, and I'm etremely sad about this. But she's learning to use her senses to get around. I love her.

Twitter is fighting again. Instagram is filled with beautiful pictures. That's enough social media...

Going to keep this short this week because I have a murder case to research today for the Kentucky Fried Homicide podcast. And it's a good one!

So... Here's what was on the blog this week:

  1. Book Recommendation: The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave. Loved this book! And if you’re a fan of suspense from page one to the very end, The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave is a perfect book for you. Read my full review.
  2. Do Just One Thing Every Day to get you toward your goal. A little advice for writers and anyone who is trying to reach an important goal in their life.
  3. I thought science was the answer. I was wrong. Every once in a while a blog post just pours out of me. I've found myself feeling a bit sad these days, and a post like this helps me process one of the topics that makes me feel this way.

Hope you are doing well. If you're reading this newsletter for the first time, you can catch up on previous editions or sign up to receive future editions here.
